Our mission is to create a safe space that empowers teens to freely explore and express their thoughts and emotions through expressive arts, drama, creative writing, and music. Through our programs and initiatives, we seek to promote mental health awareness, resilience, positive self-expression, and love among teens.

JHA’MAURI MONTRELL MCCREARY

Mauri 4 The Win Foundation is a non-profit organization initiated in honor of Ladovia Washington’s son Jha’Mauri who died by suicide on March 10, 2022. He was 15 years old.

Mauri was a light to all. He always had a pure and kind soul. He was gentle. He never asked for much, but always received everything. He loved to laugh and make sarcastic jokes. His infectious smile would light up any room. 

Mauri was a brilliant student! Sometimes he made work look super easy because he was able to figure out majority of the problem (especially math) in his head! He was an A/B student throughout grade school and looked forward to his rewards for his hard work.

Mauri loved his parents, family, and friends wholeheartedly. He will continuously be missed. We will continue to keep his name and legacy alive by promoting teen wellness to prevention teen suicide.
